Five more matches in our Four-Ball Championship were played on Saturday. Congrats to the winners.
Results from Saturday are below. If you played a match and do not see your result here, please email tournaments@thesaxonyclub.com with you match result.
Please send results in after your match so we can keep the bracket as up to date as possible. The full bracket is available at the link below.
Back to ContentsThe greens on Saturday were some of the fastest greens I've seen at Saxon Woods on a Saturday. Scottie and the crew have them rolling nice. Bud took advantage of that, and shot one of the best rounds of his career (86 gross, net 67), which included his first birdie on the par-5 3rd hole. Way to go Bud!
Back to ContentsScores that have been posted through the end of the day Saturday are included in the spreadsheet linked below. Please refer to the tab labeled "Apr 27". As a reminder, we will only be accepting scores that have been posted by the end of the day Saturday using the hole-by-hole method for Saxony Events. You can post hole-by-hole scores either through the GHIN website or the MGA or GHIN mobile apps. Scores posted after Saturday will not be included in the weekly results.
Back to ContentsThis one is somewhat rules related, but more for those who are reporting match scores or are looking at the tournament brackets and wondering what the numbers under people's names are. Per Rule 3.2 a 3, a player or side wins a match when the player or side leads the opponent by more holes than remain to be played. The result of the match is shown as holes leading with holes remaining. For example, 5 & 4 means a side was 5 holes up with 4 left to play and 8 & 6 means they were 8 holes up with 6 holes left to play. If a match plays the full number of holes set forth in the competition, the score gets reported as number of holes leading (e.g., 1-up). If the match is extended, which rarely happens in Saxony events because we use a tiebreaker, the score is reported as the number of holes played (e.g., 19 holes).
If there's a rules question you would like to see discussed here, please email the Webmaster at webmaster@thesaxonclub.com.
