The Presidents Cup 2015
Next up is the President's Cup qualifying round which just happens to be this coming Saturday. Rich Hastings has graciously accepted the role of Tournament Coordinator so any issues during this event will be handled by Mr. Hastings. EVERYONE WHO TEES IT UP THIS SATURDAY WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE QUALIFYING ROUND UNLESS YOU DECLARE THAT YOU DO NOT WANT TO PARTICIPATE. You can let Rich or myself know of your intention NOT TO PLAY in the qualifying round by email or on Saturday. You must play on Saturday, June 13th to qualify - no exceptions.Below you will find the information you will need for the 2015 Presidents Cup Qualifying Round on Saturday, June 13th. At this point we are flexible with 8 or 16 players moving on to the match play tournament. This will depend on the number of participants that will try to qualify on Saturday. A number less than 16 (or greater than 16) qualifiers will result in a field of 8 (16) players competing for the PC. And "qualified" players will be seeded based upon this Saturday's round.
Please check the schedule on the web site to make sure you can commit to the PC Tournament. Kindly be considerate to others who can fully commit to the tournament but do not play well enough to qualify on Saturday. Matches should not be decided by a forfeit. Have fun and good luck to all.

The President's Cup 2014
This Saturday, June 13th 2015
The 2014 President's Cup
tournament concluded with a very close final round. In the end
Jeremy
Goldberg out lasted Steve Hertz through 21 holes of play.
The regulation 18 holes were extremely tight with only one lead of 2UP and no one ever winning more than two holes in a row. Both players started tentatively, each losing one of the first two holes with a big number. Then Jeremy won two of the next three, including a nice par (with a stroke) on #5. Steve erased that lead by immediately winning the next two holes and they were all square after 7. They pushed #8 and #9 to end the front tied. Steve opened the back with a par on #10, but Jeremy came back to win #12. Tied again.
A push on #12 and then Jeremey once more came up with a 5 on a par 5 to go 1UP after 13. Steve bounced right back with a win on #14 to tie the match. Then Hertz parred #16 for win and was 1Up with 2 to play. I didn't see them play #17, but I would have loved to. Under some real pressure Jeremy squeaked out a natural par to win the hole and tie the match. That would have been fun to see.

They pushed #18 to end regulation All Square. Two playoff holes later, they were still tied. Finally, playing #10, Steve got into trouble and Jeremy took advantage. Congratulations to our new President's Cup Champion, Jeremy Goldberg.
